Yellowstone again

Jason's little brother came up to visit for the weekend so we took him where we take everyone that visits us, Yellowstone. This was our third trip to the park this year and a great way to end the season. It was a jam packed day, we did the loop from Madison to Canyon down the Old Faithful (with a stop at the lake for lunch) and then back out the west entrance. Here are a few pictures from the day.
Ben was quite impressed with the mud pots to say the least or he was just soaking up as much warmth from them as he could.
Ben proved to be quite the hiker even trekking through snow and ice. My footwear proves that it was pretty cold, the flip flops were left in the car. Oh and the homeless looking man walking in front of us is Jason's little brother.

Lake Yellowstone Hotel

It was a great end to the Summer. We have decided that next summer we must go to Grand Teton at least once and do the Northwest corner of Yellowstone.

It looks like you had a nice weekend and for late October and not a lot of snow on the ground, it's perfect. (Even if you had to wear "real" shoes.)
